Today in Minddrive, the Automotive Class discussed the following subjects. First they discussed the differences between a Ford Mustang GT500 & a New GM Corvette. The Mustang seems to to have more  horsepower (HP) but is heavier. On the other hand, the Corvette is more aerodynamic. The group also discussed plans for changing the front of the Karmann Ghia. They plan to change the shape by putting the headlights in the center, and where the headlights were will be covered with metal. They are looking into the process of metal spinning to change this form.

Metal spinning is a metalworking process also known as spin forming, by which a disc or tube of metal is rotated at a high speed and then form into a axially symmetric part. Spinning can be performed by hand or by CNC lathe. This is  a piece of art work.
